Privacy Policy
- RackHatch keeps your work on your computer. Your AWS access keys, server passwords, server lists and connection logs are never sent to us.
- Our license server keeps only what licensing and payment need: your e-mail address, your computer's name and an anonymous computer ID.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and nothing is sold.
This policy explains how RackHatch (“the app”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses and stores your personal information when you use the app and its license server.
1. Who we are
RackHatch is made and run by Jesora Labs (Joji George, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala, India). Contact: support@jesoralabs.com.
2. What stays on your computer
RackHatch runs on your Windows computer and uses the AWS access keys you enter. The following are stored on your computer only, with secrets encrypted for your Windows account, and are never sent to us:
- your AWS access keys and any server passwords,
- your server lists and settings,
- your connection logs.
When you connect, the app talks directly to Amazon Web Services and to your servers from your computer. We are not in that path and cannot see it.
3. What our license server receives
| Data | Used for |
|---|---|
| Your e-mail address | Signing you in with one-time codes, sending your license key, receipts and renewal reminders, and answering you. Sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form. |
| Your computer's name and an anonymous computer ID (stored as a keyed hash) | Tying the free trial and the license to one computer. |
| License and subscription records | Trial and license dates, renewals, and the computers a license was used on. |
| Payment records from Razorpay or PayPal | The payment id, amount, currency, date and status and, for PayPal, your PayPal payer id. They process your card, UPI or PayPal details; we never receive them. |
| Your consent to automatic renewal | A record of the agreement: the terms shown, the time, IP address and browser. |
| IP addresses of requests | Limiting abuse, such as repeated sign-in attempts. |
We use this information only to provide RackHatch, to prevent misuse and to keep the accounting records the law requires. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
4. Where it is stored
License and account records are stored on our server at rackhatch.jesoralabs.com, and everything is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The app checks its license with this server and keeps working for a limited time (up to 3 days) when it cannot reach it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and license records while you use RackHatch. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Sign-in codes expire shortly after they are issued.
6. Your choices and rights
- To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, write to support@jesoralabs.com from the e-mail address you use in RackHatch.
- You can turn automatic renewal off at any time in the app (License › Manage subscription).
- Uninstalling RackHatch removes your keys, server lists and logs from your computer.
Records we must keep by law, such as payment records, are kept for the required period. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
7. Third parties
RackHatch contains no analytics, advertising or social sign-in. We share information only with service providers that help us run the service, as needed: our hosting and e-mail providers, and Razorpay (India) and PayPal (elsewhere) for payments. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we share it with others only when the law requires.
RackHatch works with Amazon Web Services, AWS Systems Manager and Microsoft Remote Desktop, which are provided by their owners under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS connections to the license server and hashed sign-in codes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
RackHatch is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
If we make an important change to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated policy.
